Fire and Ice: Vegas Grant Growing the Game

Vegas is an unlikely hockey hotbed, having produced only one native NHL
draft pick in Jason Zucker. But some local firefighters are trying to
change that. With the help of donors like you, Las Vegas Firefighters
Youth Hockey (LVFFYH) was born when they received a grant from the USA
Hockey Foundation in 2011. A group of Las Vegas Fire and Rescue members

 Hockey Mom Making Plays

Guariglia didn't play the game herself until she was in her mid-30s,
but she's now the girls'/women's section director at USA Hockey and a
member of The USA Hockey Foundation's Circle of Champions, meaning she
makes a donation of $1,000 or more yearly. "I am a big believer that
when you are in a leadership role and have the ability, you should help

 Promise to Paralympics
Like most kids, Brody Roybal was looking for a sport to play growing up.
Born a congenital bilateral amputee, meaning he doesn't have a femur in
either leg, Roybal took a try at wheelchair basketball and wheelchair
softball. Then, at the age of eight, he was introduced to sled hockey.
He was hooked. Now, thanks to the USA Hockey Foundation, he's playing
